My path to entrepreneurship has been anything but a straight line. It has been a collection of experiences, industries, people, conversations, and lessons that eventually began to make sense as a journey, or perhaps, the bigger picture.

From working for some of the biggest brand-name companies as a customer service representative in call centers, to the vibrant world of entertainment, and later into property management, I have navigated very different industries throughout my career. Together, they helped me build a meaningful portfolio of skills, knowledge, and experiences that continue to shape my work today.

Looking back, I can see that each chapter was teaching me something I would eventually need for the work I do today.

Chapters that built the work

Call centers & brand-name companies

Customer service taught me how people speak when they need to be heard, and how organizations respond when they are under pressure.

Entertainment

This is where I honed storytelling, creativity, and audience engagement. It taught me how powerful a story can be and how communication influences how people think, feel, and connect.

Property management

As a leasing professional and assistant property manager, I built positive relationships with residents and gained another perspective on people, organizations, leadership, and the systems that affect everyday life.

Entrepreneurship

Today I wear the crown of entrepreneur as Founder & CEO of Abike Media Productions, LLC — bringing every chapter together into one purpose.

The turning point

As a child, I spoke as a child. I watched the news and walked away. As an adult, I put that mindset behind me.

I became increasingly interested in the social, systemic, cultural, and leadership questions underneath the headlines. We often consume news as information without taking the next step and asking: what does this teach us about leadership, decision-making, accountability, power, responsibility, and the society we are creating?

That question changed the direction of my work — and led to the creation of The Creative Leadership Network on YouTube and its publication extension, The TCLN Advantage on Substack.

Transforming news into leaders. Education for your elevation. Leadership insights to your advantage.
